American Tapas

Sharing. Food. Tapas. Wine. Fun.

Bite owners, Brooke and Thomas McCarthy, brought both experience and passion to table when developing the Bite concept.  Having both worked in the restaurant industry, they understood the challenges and rewards of creating a successful venture.  And perhaps even more importantly, as admitted foodies, they felt that Bite should embrace and reflect the things they loved most about the dining experience.  All the things that Bite has become can be traced back to their vision - the balance of comfort and sophistication, the accessibility of wonderful and unusual wines and, of course, the myriad of flavor combinations provided by the menus.  This vision also incorporates their commitment to using fresh, organic ingredients - seasonal and local whenever possible.  The end result is a diner's oasis, a playground for the palate that will keep you coming back for more.

Why Tapas at Tahoe?

For the taste.

American Tapas are wonderful opportunity for adventurous taste buds - satisfying and yet infinitely varied.  Tapas allow you to try something new - without commiting yourself to a huge plate of food.  Something like Ahi Sliders with Arugula, Pickled Ginger and Wasabi Aioli.  Or maybe the Crispy Risotto Balls with Marinated Mozzarella and 40 Clove Marinara.  And if your sweet tooth appreciates variety as well, you can order several desserts to share as a group.

For the Friendship.

Tapas are made for sharing.  The sense of communal enjoyment as plates are sampled and passed around the table makes for great fun and conversation.  Food is often linked to some of our dearest memories and the act of sharing new and exciting dishes often brings up old stories, as well as inspiring new ones.

For the Joy of It.

Bite Restaurant owners Brooke and Thomas McCarthy admit that they are behind the real story of Bite Restaurant.  Their love of dining laid the foundation for Bite almost four years ago.  And the most important ingredient in the creation of Bite is still evident today:  a desire to seek new experiences and share them with others!
